My Personal Story — Abstract
It's important to know that I am from a blue-collar family, mostly raised on Long Island, NY. At 4 years old, when my parents divorced, my two brothers and I were uprooted several times with relatives, either together and separately, and then we were sent to live in a boarding home. My childhood was one of feeling lost and on my own most of the time. I grew up feeling like I did not belong.
By my late teens, I began to recognize that I had formidable survival skills. Then throughout adulthood, despite being culturally successful, life and its challenges kept pushing me to the edge only to end up feeling lost again. I have been diagnosed and survived several life-threatening illnesses, endured countless losses and deaths of loved ones and yet always impelled and able to rise up and find myself anew.
Paradoxically, my life today is beyond my wildest imaginings. Call it magic or blessings; sharing what I’ve learned on the road of life is my primary life purpose and I am privileged to pass on what I know. I am affirmed daily by observing clients discover their Source Energy (their true nature), and by assisting them in letting it lead them out of turmoil and on to a truer path of contentment, fulfillment and realization.
As that lost kid, never could I have imagined being honored internationally, nationally, and locally for my research and fieldwork. Never could I imagine that I would write half-dozen books and numerous articles on healing as I learned more each year. Never in a million years could I have imagined this!
Humble thanks to the Focalizing Institute, which has supported my work and research for so many years. I am eternally grateful.
The story of this journey and my discoveries is told in my books:
This small book illustrates how Focalizing transcends talk-therapy, and many other modalities, by shifting our attention to what is presently happening in our bodies, rather than the stories of our lives, with all the whys and what fors. In this somatic (body oriented) approach, we focus on the body in a particular way, allowing it to organically bring forth and gracefully transform whatever is blocking our Source Energy and making us feel stuck.
Focalizing Dynamic Links: A Human Technology for Collectively Engaging Source Energy & Creating a Better Future
Focalizing Dynamic Links is a human technology for connecting and communicating differently, effecting transformation through our institutions and organizations. We are at a point of divergence, with two choices before us – continuing to engage with the world as we have in the past or a new path that leads forward in such a way that we all thrive. Read this small but powerful book to learn how.
This 32 page monograph gives the basics of individual and group focalizing as they were refined in 2007.
This e-book is about the evolution of healing i.e. curing what manifests in one’s body and mind that limits contentment and joy. It is also an archive of the foundations of the Focalizing Institute. The text includes an updated version of the many doorways of exploration that served as healing resources for the many who emailed us on their journey to feeling whole and complete.
This insightful book opens up new vistas for all of us who seek inspiration for implementing our potential; to heal from life’s traumas and to be rewarded with the benefits of fully engaging with our desires and senses in the world around us.
Recovery takes on new meaning with this book. Anyone touched by the dis-ease of addictions or “blocked energy”, will be awakened and transformed by this work.
